Awards Process
Participants
All employers in both the private and public sectors are eligible to participate in the Employer Support Recognition Programme.
Nominations
Employers can nominate themselves for an award by contacting us:

Nominations are also accepted from:
- Reserve Force employees
- Unit Commanding Officers, and
- Regional Employer Support Committees.
Winners at the regional level are then nominated for the national awards.
Review and Selection
Nominations for awards go to the Regional Employer Support Committee for their selection. A panel consisting of TFESC members will review the nominations and confirm the level of award (Standard, Bronze, Silver or Gold) achieved.
Depending on the level of the award, evaluators consisting of a local unit representative, a member of the Regional Employer Support Committee and a representative from HQNZDF may visit employers to conduct an on site assessment.
Once the award decisions have been made, the successful employers are formally advised of their award and invited to attend a presentation ceremony at either the Regional or National Award ceremonies.
